Year 3 - Small boy doing bigger things!

Sometimes it's just so hard to think that you are still only 3! You have been to school for almost half a year now but still stay silent most of the time in school according to your teachers. You Do the activities when instructed to but will not volunteer or say anything more than what is required. Once you step into the car when I fetch you, it is a totally different story altogether!! You start to unbutton your shirt and remove your pants and will arrive home naked even though the ride home is less than a minute. You have gotten very pro at bottoming and unbuttoning and prefers yoir school shirts over t-shirt just so you can practise your skill.

You also show your independence by raiding the fridge most of the time in search for food. The other day you even spreaded peanut butter on a slice of bread for me on your own without me asking you to! So adorable and sweet. And because you couldn't wait for anyone to help you wash the fresh blueberries for you, you took a punnet, open it and poured the contents into a bowl, went over to the sink and switched the tap on for some water, put your little hand in to wash the berries and then cover them and poured out the water. Oh my! O was observing the whole process and thought that was really pretty amazing for a small little three and a half year old boy!!

On one hand I'm glad that you are so independent but on the other, you are growing too fast!

O is 9

My sweet girl wishes me 'Be safe!' as we exchange our goodbyes when I drop her off at school. She's just the sweetest. But she has also been the angriest of late. Always barking at her brothers and hurling nasty words. Exactly like how I was with my younger brother when I was little. One consolation I have however is that they express a lot more love, they play together nicely more often and they share a lot more than I did. I pray that this little girl will learn to replace all these anger with more love and joy instead. She will need it when she realises soon that it's really not worth to fuss over the petty things but learn to be grateful with all that matters instead.
