44 years

So I celebrated my 44th yesterday FMCO (Full Movement Control Order) style as we are still at war with the COVID-19 pandemic. The day started with the a 'treasure hunt' by the kids, leading me back to the room where the laptop was to watch a video they have put together the day before entitled 'Breadhemian Rhapsody'. It's a cute parody. Even Papa was involved playing the piano intro. O(12) is good with words for parodies. J(9) will contribute his ideas. B(6), I was told, willingly wrote down his parts and sang as well as acted out the actions. We are planning to upload it on YouTube and will link it here when we do.

The day continued with the doorbell going 'ding dong' every few minutes around lunch time.

First, it was WL bringing beignets from FatKidz.

Then Jenn brought an earl grey mango cake from the KSS ladies.

At the same time, Pling's cakes from &Dolce arrived.

A&L few doors away brought over siobak with a candle on it.

K&K made yummy sago to serve with gula melaka (palm sugar) and coconut milk.

R bought me a tub of Inside Scoop durian ice-cream.

My F (PL) sent over tiramisu.

Later in the evening, Bev and Shan's mango pistachio spaceship cake arrived.

G sent over AL's famous carrot walnut cake which I thought was from a bakery!

Later at night, PL came over again to deliver a box of durians.

Pat was just behind her with her homemade rice cooker cake.

We also have a dark choc cake from Yin's that came with the birthday package we ordered. I have never in my life has SO many cakes for my birthday before! It was a sudden realisation of how much God loves me by placing me in a place with so many lovely people! I am beyond blessed indeed.. and hope also that it's because I also have been a blessing in some ways. I have been far from God ever since having kids, using them as an excuse for being too busy, although I did make attempts here and there to spend more time with the One who loves me the most. Even through that, after all these years, God has never left me nor forsaken me but kept showing me His love for me in various ways.

I pray at 44, and invite God back in my heart, to never leave me, to be able to continue to live the rest of my life with God at the centre so that my heart will continue to beat in sync with His and all these will be reflected in my actions towards others around me especially my kiddos whom needs them the most at this moment in their lives.

I love you, Jesus.
