December 2017

In the midst of wrapping Christmas pressies at 3am... yup, 3am... and just wanted to write a bit of things in my mind down. Many things happening. Major ones include our (old) new house reno. We at a bit engaging a designer due to budget constrain so have taken on the task ourselves. Not easy coz it's pretty major stuffs needing decisions in lots of things and places and we are amateurs relying on Google for help. Contractor has no experience in industrial minimalist Scandinavian style so that's not helping. Stressful but exciting at the same time.

Boys starting school next year. J(6) in primary 1 and B(3) in kindy. Both so unprepared. And only a week left to prepare them. On top of house reno.

B(3) can finally reach the door knobs in the house. And super proud that he can now open and close doors without help.

J(6) has been watching TV non-stop this school holidays as though TV will not exist anymore once school starts.

O(8) just went for her first overnight bootcamp away from home. She did well dancing in Gurney Plaza for the public as a form of ministry after only 2 days of training.

White hair has started growing on Pa's sideburns making him look more aged on top of losing hair and wearing bifocals.

Life of the Lees this time of the year...

Year 5 - Poem Recital Competition

Finally!!!!! You've done it, KorKor!!! Every year in Kindy they organise a poem recital competition. You managed to recite the poem Jala-jala ikan so well at home in your Junior year but alas you had the jitters and didn't do it on stage on the actual day. In the Intermediate year, you didn't even want to practice at home for fear of being ask to go on stage again. This year as Senior, I heard you practicing at home but again you say you didn't want to do it on the actual day because you will have to present it to everyone, not just those in your class. You managed to recite it twice up front just in class which was really really good effort. I didn't have high hopes that you will do it on stage as nothing and no one can make you do it if you don't want to. We continued to do some practices at home nevertheless ans prayed for the Lord to remove the fear of being on stage the night before. When I picked you up on that day from school, I was shocked and surprised that you have found the courage to over come your stage fright and recited your poem! Praise God! Hurray!!! We are so proud of you!

The last of breastfeeding

Just packed away all my nursing bras... That's it... 59months in total of providing the best I can for all our 3 babies... Bittersweet moments. Shall miss snuggling all their tiny bodies close to mine and watching them suckle away while they drift into a deep deep sleep..

Not evwrything was blissful though. Not missing the painful eczema and trush moments. So glad to do away with them!

Shall just hold on to all threads good memories... ❤

Small Boy Wants to be Big Boy

You are just so independent and capable at just 26 months old! You want to do everything on your own. Succeeding most times but also screaming in frustration sometimes and I have to keep reminding you to ask for help if you can't manage.  Sometimes you will reluctantly come and say 'Mama, Help you' (instead of help me) which is all so adorable!

Saw a badge I made for KorKor when he was three for changing clothes on his own. You have been removing and wearing your own clothes since like the beginning of time!! And you are only 26 months old now!

Recently you loves riding on KorKor's big bike and you actually managed to climb on and off it yourself! You could also 'pedal' it forward quite a distance by moving your legs up and down to move the pedals.

You also love wearing KorKor's shoes around.  Wondering if it's cause it's easy to slip in. And you are just so good at wearing your own shoes. Amazing.

We had to remove your baby car seat on our recent holiday to KL and Ipoh as you just refuse to sit in it. Maybe because the material make you hot and sweaty and uncomfortable for long distance travel. You prefer 'KorKor's cat seat' so we had to prematurely upgrade you onto it while KorKor gets the booster seat. Even then you sometimes want Che-che's car seat which is just the middle seat with just a seat belt strapped across the lap. Sigh... just can't hold you down in the car long enough for our journeys....

Your speech has improved with longer string of words and you are still very cheeky so it's very difficult to be angry with you thus you get away with a lot of things...

Growing too fast.

Love you Boo. Always my Baby Boo...
